It’s time for you to get familiar with Long Island NY born artist Cussey Da Villian. He is working on his album « Year Of The Villain » that’s dropping on June 10th on all streaming platforms. Who is your all time favorite DJ ?

DJ Kay Slay !

When was the first time you heard about a mixtape and what’s the most memorable tape you can remember ?

The first time I heard about a mixtape was about 2011 . The most memorable mixtape is « 2 Cups Part 2 » by Young Pappy. The reason for that is the rawness he brought into the rap game and the passion he put behind every song.

How did you get into the hip-hop scene ? What made you want to take it seriously ?

I started with the hip hop scene back when I was in middle school. We would all come together at lunch and have rap battles. Smack URL was a big influence. What made me take hip hop seriously was after the passing of my cousin, I have pain I have to let out.

What are you working on right now and what can we expect from you in 2021 ?

Album Year of the Villian drops on all platforms on June 10th , « Freak Bitch » and « Evolve » visuals coming soon , Wealthy Villians Merchandise , and live performances.

Where do you see yourself as an artist in 5 years ? And what are your plans to get bigger ?

As an artist in 5 years I’m going to be number one on Billboard and I say that humble. My plans to get bigger is mostly focus on marketing, the music is going to speak for itself. The people just haven’t listened to it yet.

If you had to pick two of your fav producers to work on a EP who would you choose ?

Pharrell Williams and DJ Mustard.

Who is your favorite hip-hop entrepreneur and why ?

50 Cent, and the reason for that is he came from the trenches and did not have one excuse but to get money he hustled until he got to the top. From Vitamin Water to Power he’s still grinding and that’s just motivation to have that will power to want it for yourself .

What’s your playlist right now? What are you listening to ?

My playlist consists of Pop Smoke, Est Gee, Pooh Shiesty, Dusty Locane, Bizzy Banks, Herbo and Lil Baby.

If you had 3 words to define yourself as an artist, what would you say ?

Authentic – humble – hungry

Any words of advice for the young upcoming artists ?

My advice for the young upcoming artists is don’t let nobody tell you stop doing what you doing because it doesn’t work, well them you and God are the only people that can determine your life and don’t give up keep pushing Wealthy Villians.
